Michael Whitney Brown
Worship Music Director
Michael began playing piano at the age of four. It was natural as natural and normal as breathing. Michael currently directs gospel choirs at the Hotchkiss, Taft, Westover, and South Kent schools. He is also the music director at St. Bridget’s and St. Bernard in the Northwest corner of the State. Recently, Michael has taken on the music directorship for FCC. Sounds like a lot, but is all wonderful and manageable.
Interim Director of Youth and Families
Debra has been a member of our church for the last 13 years and brings her background in curriculum design into the position. A long-time educator, Deb has completed her Masters + and has worked with a wide array of populations. While working in this interim position, she is following in the footsteps of her mother, who worked as the Director of Christian Education for the First Congregational Church in Prospect. Deb’s tenure will be short, but her goal is to set systems in place that make it easier for our future permanent director to jump right into the work. In her spare time, Deb enjoys reading, traveling with her family, and spending time outside.
The Dwelling Worship Leader
Katelyn is a 3rd-5th grade music teacher in Watertown, CT. She received her undergraduate degree in Music Education from Western Connecticut State University. In addition to playing music at First Congregational Church, she also enjoys playing music with her boyfriend in her music duo, Patrick & Kate. In her free time she loves to cook, go to the gym, and her favorite flower is a sunflower!

Dylan went to Nyack College for an undergrad in Youth and Family Studies. Before getting a BS in Youth and Family Studies, Dylan received his AS in Communications for filming. He enjoys making short films, hiking, video games, and most of all board games!
