On Sunday 9/17 our 5th & 6th Grade Sunday school put together a lemonade stand during church. Their mission: to raise money for Hurricane Harvey and Irma victims. They waved at cars and other people passing by during the church service. Some people stopped, got a refreshing cup of lemonade, and donated. When church got out many people joined them and donated. Although we hoped more cars would have stopped (and we were not specifically targeting the congregants), the students were blown away by the gracious giving of the church attendees. We are pleased to announce that the students raised and donated $300 to hurricane relief! We are incredibly grateful to those who helped and those whom donated that Sunday morning!
We gave through a faith based non-profit “Convoy of Hope”, for more information or to give, click the button below. Our 5th & 6th grade class teachers have a heart for mission and student engagement. We are happy to teach our students about missional service and will be looking for new ways to serve local and global communities through our Sunday school classes.
